Our story starts with our founder, Ellie Wales and her young ambition for creating a go-to British lifestyle brand. Whale Of A Time Clothing was founded in September 2015, although Ellie had been designing long before this. The brand was created with a vision to provide fun, affordable casual wear with a retro-inspired twist on classics styles.
As Whale Of A Time Clothing became popular amongst friends and university students, soon the brand became more than just a hobby and it quickly outgrew the small office in Ellie’s family home, to a new office space and warehouse based in West Acre, Norfolk.
Ellie’s designs are inspired by the North Norfolk Coast which remains at the heart of the brand today and are defined by simple yet sophisticated block colours that are effortless to style. Amongst every new seasonal collection are the iconic signature sweatshirts, made from 100% organic cotton and designed for a relaxed fit.
